Andrew D. Morton is a partner at Handler Law, LLP and Chair of the firm’s Sports & Entertainment Law Group, where he represents professional athletes, Olympians, artists, and other public figures looking to maximize their social impact. His practice focuses on high-profile philanthropy, including the formation and governance of tax-exempt organizations, as well as alternative charitable structures like fiscal sponsorships and donor advised funds (DAFs). With deep expertise in nonprofit compliance and crisis management, Andrew is often called upon to navigate complex issues that impact an organization’s operations or public image. Based in Washington, DC, Andrew also advises clients on public policy and legislative advocacy, helping them engage effectively with Congress and the Administration. He has worked with the Carlos Rodón Foundation since its inception and is a strong supporter of the Willow Grant Initiative, helping guide both with legal strategy and long-term impact planning. Andrew is the Co-Founder of the Alliance to Stop Slavery & End Trafficking (ASSET) with actress Julia Ormond, and serves on the boards of the University of Pennsylvania Law School’s Alumni Society and Public Service Program. He has been honored as Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year by the D.C. Bar and received Penn Law’s Alumni Achievement Award. He has been peer-selected as a Leading Lawyer every year since 2017.
