Stephanie Kramer is the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of L’Oréal North America, author of Carry Strong: An Empowered Approach to Navigating Pregnancy and Work (Penguin Life, 2023), and mother of two young sons.
A tenured executive with 20 years of experience across three continents, Stephanie brings dynamic leadership and business expertise with a dedicated people-first approach to L’Oréal’s HR strategy—encompassing talent, learning, rewards, and people experience. Before becoming CHRO, she served as Global General Manager, US General Manager, and Global Head of Marketing within L’Oréal’s diverse portfolio. L’Oréal USA, the #1 beauty market in the world with 35+ iconic brands, is part of the L’Oréal Groupe, the global leader in beauty.
Stephanie, a graduate of Wake Forest University and the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) has been an adjunct professor of management communication in the graduate business program at FIT, where she also served on the Industry Advisory Board. She advises innovation leaders such as MasterClass, Work & Wellbeing, and Project Healthy Minds, is a member of the CNBC Workforce Executive Council, and was the founding board chair for HR Innovators. She is also a member of the Women’s Leadership Board at Harvard Kennedy School. In addition, Stephanie has been a featured speaker at institutions and summits including The Wharton School, Harvard Business School, New York University, the Forbes Future of Work Summit, Yale Ventures Health of Women Summit, HR Unleash, Eve International in France, and more. Stephanie and her work have been featured in Fast Company, Fortune, Forbes, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, and the Wall Street Journal.
